The Nautical Club of Thessaloniki organizes the 2023 J24 World Championship from 9 to 15 of September. This competition is the most important one of the year for the J24 Class with participants from all around the world. Sailors from Australia, Argentina, Japan, the USA, and Europe are ready to compete for the World Champion title. 35 teams from 10 different countries are going to race in the Thermaic Gulf, a venue that is ideal for competitive sailing.
This event is the second international event that the club has organized for 2023. The 2023 Optimist Open European Championship was also held in July, breaking the record of participants for the Optimist Class. The location, the experience, and the trust that the club has in the worldwide sailing community make it an ideal venue for International Regattas.
With the action starting on Tuesday, 12 September, we are very excited to see who is going to be crowned world champion. The local Greek teams are the majority of the participants, with the Hellenic J24 Class being one of the most historic members of the J24 class.
