The second day of the 26th Rodos Cup international sailing week was marked by intense sailing excitement.
The starting point of the route was Kalymnos, with the finish line at Nisyros, leaving the island of Kos to the left. Right from the beginning, the weather showed its intentions, and the sailing race commenced with winds exceeding 25 knots outside the port of Kalymnos, where the boats had to round an offset mark.
Later, the weather abruptly dropped for at least half an hour; however, it still met the sailors’ expectations, and the rest of the race proceeded steadily to Nisyros in sea conditions of approximately 18 knots (5 Beaufort).
In the IMS 1 category, the boat MARIA ELECTRA claimed the first position.
For the IMS 2 category, the boat MOUSMOULO secured the top spot.
In the IRC category, the boat COURRIER DU COEUR came in first.
And in the IRC category, the boat CRUISING KIA ORA achieved the top position.
Among the CRUISING 1 category, the boat TAKE WIND took the lead.
Lastly, in the CRUISING 2 category, the boat HUNTER MAN claimed victory.
